Unexpected Post...and the REAL good bye! :D

Alright one last award and one last post before I leave early tomorrow morning for camp...

The Font Freak Award. This is for any Font Freak (I know there's some out there...I, for one, am DEFINITELY a Font Freak. My friends quiz me a lot, hoping to stump me, pointing to a random font and asking which one that is, and all the time I at least have a GUESS. And then when I get it right, they moan, "I NEVER want to hear about fonts again!!" :D). If you are a Font Freak, at least in your mind, you may have this award :D.

Alright. This is the REAL good bye. *waves goodbye* Goodbye, all my wonderful blog friends!! I'll be back in *count fingers* 13 days. Again, I would love prayer. :D

Blessings, and many fond farewells (do I sound like Biblo and his "Farewell Speech"? :D),

*waves goodbye*

Well, this is the official goodbye to all my blogger friends! I'm off to camp tomorrow morning, for thirteen days.
I would REALLY appreciate prayer. Last time (two years ago when I was nine) I went to HoneyRock for two weeks, and got really home-sick, so it would be a lie to say I'm not scared (and excited) for camp this time. So yeah, I would love prayer.
Thanks everybody, and God bless,

PS I'm going to take tons of pictures, and I'll upload 'em here when I get back *stare off into the distance* which will be in a pretty long time :D

Calligraphy

Alright so yesterday, me and my mom, brother, sister, and other brother, went to this awesome calligraphy class, where we learned about calligraphy and how to do calligraphy. Here is the bell tower that we saw when we first walked up...

And here is the "Great Hall," which was in the building in which we stayed in to learn about calligraphy...

Here are the wonderful name-tags that our vivacious guide made us...

(Abby's:)

(Mine:)

(Josh's:)

(Peter's:)

Here is the 150-year old building:

And then some BEAUTIFUL stained glass windows inside the bell tower building:

And a baptisim place:

And then we went into this place in which we looked at thirteen Bibles, handwritten in caligriphical writing, and decorated in mediavilish ways with paintings and drop caps and stuff. Unfortunately, I could not take pictures of the Bibles (:l)...but here are some other pictures of cool stuff.

A gorgeous vase I liked very much...

The gift shop...

(Random Picture...this was my birthday cake. *laughs* isn't it awesome. It was a garden.)

And back to the Calligraphy...here are some beautiful paintings/calligraphy stuff...

I like the last one a lot :D
Then our guide put on this SPECTACULAR 45 minute play about the history of reading-writing for us (the group of about twelve people/kids) in which he constantly switched hats so here are a few pictures of his hats....

Hahaha love this picture of him in his "Purple People" hat :D...

I also really like the Pharoah cap...

For some reason I like this close up of him...he looks so concentrated and serious....

And here are some awesome calligraphy things done by people...

A beautiful stained glass window...

More paintings...

The bag he made, and my initial painted and gold-ized...

Another painting...

Alright post about Valley Fair tomorrow....or maybe when I get back from camp. If I don't blog before day-after-tomorrow-morning (confusing phrase :D) then here is an official GOOD BYE!!!
:D hope you enjoyed the pictured. I LOVE CALLIGRAPHY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hold My Heart (Tenth Avenue North)

This is the most amazing song in the world. It is my favorite ever. I'm not kidding. If you haven't heard it, google it or SOMETHING. It's...so amazing. Wow. It totally blows me away. The rest of the song lyrics I've posted up here are nothing compared to this. Wow. :D

How long must I pray,
must I pray to You?
How long must I wait,
must I wait for You?
How long 'til I see Your face,
see You shining through?

I'm on my knees, begging
You to notice me.
I'm on my knees,
Father will you turn to me?

One tear in the driving rain,
One voice in a sea of pain
Could the Maker of the stars
Hear the sound of my breakin' heart?
One life, that's all I am
Right now I can barely stand
If You're everything You say You are
Would You come close and hold my heart?

I've been so afraid,
afraid to close my eyes
So much can slip away before I say goodbye.
But if there's no other way,
I'm done asking why.

Cuz I'm on my knees,
begging You to turn to me
I'm on my knees,
Father will you run to me?

One tear in the driving rain,
One voice in a sea of pain
Could the Maker of the stars
Hear the sound of my breakin' heart?
One life, that's all I am
Right now I can barely stand
If You're everything You say You are
Would You come close and hold my heart?

So many questions without answers,
Your promises remain
I can't sleep but I'll take my chances to hear You call my name
To hear You call my name

One tear in the driving rain,
One voice in a sea of pain
Could the Maker of the stars
Hear the sound of my breakin' heart?
One life, that's all I am
Right now I can barely stand
If You're everything You say You are
Would You come close and hold my heart?

Hold my heart,
could you hold my heart?
Hold my heart.

My Birthday!! *applaud*

I celebrated my birthday today, though in fact it's a week later (I'll be gone at camp on the 27th [my birthday] so we just celebrated it now). I got SO many wonderful WONDERFUL gifts!!

At five-thirty me and my family (Dad, Mom, Josh, Abby, Peter, and I) went to Applebees with my granma, granpa, and great-granma! The food was delicious and of course I couldn't eat all of mine (*roll eyes* I never seem to finish my food :D) and neither could anyone else and so guess how many take home boxes we had? Six. And they were big. And full of food. It was amazing! ;)

Then we came home, and since everyone was positively stuffed, we (or should I say "I"? :D) opened presents. Man. Alright, so from my granma, granpa, and great-granma I got: four CDs (Tenth Avenue North [Over And Underneath], Press Play [Life Is Beautiful], Superchick [Beauty From Pain 1.1...they're older CD. I already own their newest: Rock What You Got], and then a gift card to buy Run Kid Run [Love At the Core], and FM Static [Dear Diary] that I asked for, but which they couldn't buy, as Northwestern was sold out), a skirt and ruffled collar T-shirt, a beautiful studded necklace and nail set, and a small green leather purse. From Mom and Dad I got a sheet of paper telling me I'D GET TO BUY THE GOUDY FAMILY SET!!!!!!!! I GET THE REAL FONT GOUDY THAT PAOLINI USES IN Inheritance Cycle!!!!!!!!!!! *SCREAM* AH!!!! I still am in shock!! Hannah I bet you're so jealous!! lol jk :D Wow I LOVE GOUDY!!! I'm so excited!!! I'll feel REALLY professional! Dad and Mom wrote me this really awesome poem about it too!! *dreamy/content sigh*

Alright I also got from Mom and Dad: a set of colored Hope golf balls (so colorful...so beautiful...so awesome...in fact, they're be-awesome!! [from Bolt :D]), a charm bracelet, and wonderful books. The books are: This Present Darkness (AH!!! LOVE THAT BOOK!!!!) by Frank Peretti, The Fairy Tales (or something like that...) by Gail Carson Levine, another book by her called The Two Princesses of something-or-other, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J. K. Rowling, and this other book that is really cool that I can't remember the title of. Then from Josh I got Mat Kearney's City Of Black And White (SO AWESOME). From Abby I got a small pack of Butterfinger's and Kit-Kat's (yummy lol). From Peter I got a small pint of ice-cream!!! *scream* double yummy!!

My dad and I are going to buy the Goudy Family Pack (bout seventy five dollars) sometime tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I dreamily chattered about the Goudy Family Pack, I didn't even have any idea whatsoever that my parents were actually listening to me!! :D!

I'm bringing many of the books I got today to camp. I'm reading The Giver right now. I'm going to save many of the books for camp :D

The surprise cake my mom made me was a garden!! I took a picture of it, so I'll upload that sometime soon. We have been working really hard this summer on a garden over at my granparents house, so that's why she picked a garden :D

I got SO many great gifts tonight!!!!! I'm still not an actual twelve year old, but next Saturday I will :D

The Arwen Award!!

Here is The Arwen Award...

I kinda like it...the faint words that you can hardly see are Arwen Undomiel and then Evenstar of Her People
:D
Whoever is a TRUE Arwen Fan may have this award.

Brushes?

Alright, does anyone have a website that they could give me that has a tutorial on how to download Gimp custom brushes? *sigh of frustration* I have been googling that but haven't found any!
So if any of you have a website that would show me how, I would greatly appreciate you telling me! :D

Shieldmaiden Blend

This is a blend I made of Eowyn...

Feedback? I personally like all the little swirlys beneath "Shieldmaiden"... :D

*sigh of contentment*

I just finished my chores...yes, the sleepover is over *yawn*. We stayed up until one o'clock talking/giggling about MANY random things *ahem-ahem, cough-cough, sniffle-sniffle, snort-snort*...sorry, inside joke :D.

It was SO great!! I had so much fun!!

The Water Fight was incredible. I got hit with a plastic cup above my eye by Hannah (*pointed glare* jk :D) and I have a bruise/scratch there which grosses me out :D.

The Water Fight was incredible though. There was a lot of traitorous back-stabbing going on. For example, Jordyn was like to Jenna, "Oh, I'm on your team!" and then she would turn on her with the hose and completely soak her... *laughs*

What inspired the Water Fight was when Hannah and I dumped water on Jenna. Jordyn just playfully insulted Jenna, so Jenna stood up, shaking in mock indignation, and proclaimed, "I am going to talk to the hose!" She then struts down the deck stairs (leaving Jordyn, Hannah and I in spastics of laughter). Hannah jumps up, grabs her water cup, and whispers urgently to me, "Bekah, let's dump our water on Jenna when she walks underneath!!" So we stood by the deck until Jenna walked proudly underneath us. We both dumped our full water glasses on her; I scored, but Hannah completely missed. My ice-cubes all drummed Jenna on the head which was hilarious. Of course, Jenna ran back up, grabbed her cup and threw the water at me. Hannah turned on me with Jordyn's cup and dumped the water down my back, then sprayed Jordyn with the remaining water. All of us were wet anyway, so we just decided to have a Water War :D Which was a great idea.

Then after we all got dried off, Jenna wanted to have her left-over noodles, so I went and got them (at like eleven o'clock at night! :D) and I stole the parmesan chicken (I had the last bite and I was waving it in front of Hannah and she was like GIVE IT TO ME and I just ate it which was fun :D). Then Jenna started feeding the noodles to me one-by-one (which took a long time). Then she got impatient and started feeding them five-by-five, and then uncounted-by-uncounted...

We ended up taking cold noodles in our hands and scattering them all over Hannah and Jordyn...Jordyn didn't even care 'cause she was too busy killing gnats, and Hannah just screamed "BEKAH!!!!" while continuing to blog*clean out ears*

Let's just say I had the best birthday party I have EVER had!! I got incredibly great presents, and awesome cards...

I have the best friends EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *laughs*

PS: Jenna has a blog that I made for her this morning...click HERE to go there!! Be sure to follow her ;)

Sleepover

Alright, I'm in the middle of my birthday party sleepover, with three of my friends: Jordyn, Jenna (from Happiness), and Hannah (from Aspire)!!

Hannah came to my house early at three thirty; we dressed up (I had this long silvery skirt and my mom's red shirt and Hannah wore her confirmation dress, Jenna had an orange summer dress with white polka-dots and Jordyn had a black dress that ended at her knees and it had a decoration at her neck) and then waited for Jordyn and Jenna to arrive.

Anyways, so we went to the 3D movie Up (the second time I've seen it); it was extremely sad. Hannah cried four times (streaking her mascara), I cried twice (by cry I mean tears running down face), Jenna cried once, and Jordyn exclaimed loudly in several parts, laughing evilly on several occasions (mainly when the evil guy died) and generally making me crack up in sentimental parts.

Hannah was talking and I typed it up:

"I DID cry, and I WAS so freaked out my mascara would run...*laughs*"

Now her feet are up on my desk... *groans*

After the movie, we went to Noodles & Company which was really awesome. I love that place, as Jenna says (all three of them are reading over my shoulder, occasionally instructing me in what to say).

We then came home, ate ice-cream cake, opened presents, and played "Water Fight". I will upload one very gruesome (jk...?) movie later...probably... "Water Fight" was this very wet game consisting of throwing water from the hose and plastic cups (full of water...not the cups, the water in the cups ;). We all got extremely soaked.

Alright well we'd better wrap it up as it's 10:30...we're going to talk some more and then probably go to bed (Jenna is insisting that I type "hit the hay" instead of "go to bed"...). Right now, Jordyn is walking around, maliciously laughing, holding my LOTION and squashing innocent bugs with the bottom of my beloved Essence of Sweet Pea lotion!!

(Jordyn Typing:)
These bugs are MALICIOUS and BLOOD-SUCKING and they desreve to die!!!!!!!!!!!!
*mad cackle*

(Jenna Typing:)
Hello...it's Jenna! *crack up laughing*...as you know... *continue to crack up* *keep laughing, accompanied by Jordyn* I snorted today...just kidding!! *laugh so hard she's snorting* HELP WE ARE DYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... AND MANY MORE OF THOSE THINGYIES !

(Hannah Typing:)
Okay, first I have to go read what they wrote. Hmm...Bekah and Jenna are eating noodles. BEKAH GIVE ME SOME OF THE PARMESAN CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Jordyn just killed another mosquito...I guess I'll read what they wrote later. Much later. Apparently Bekah loves those noodles....*laughs hysterically as Jordyn screams* Bekah's dropping noodles on Jordyn. Did I mention we had a HUGE water fight? I was SOAKED as in, I had to completely change. COMPLETELY. It was freezing. So freezing. *laughs* Bekah's choking on her noodles. LOL, I just read what they wrote...geez, that was funny. :D

Bekah again...wow those cold left-over noodles were really delectable...sorry, Hannah, we ate them all. She just groaned and said, "Wow, thanks Bekah." Jenna was feeding them to me one by one...yummy ;)

Well it's eleven now, so we'd better get to bed.
