Well, Earwen, I used gimp; so first I opened a random large picture (you know that picture of Eowyn I used is really long and skinny, as its a side profile), and then deleted it, leaving the checkered space to work with. I then opened the long skinny picture of Eowyn on top of the checkered board. Then I opened it (the Eowyn picture) again in a different gimp window, and switched it so she was facing left. Then I saved it in a different name then the original Eowyn picture. So now I have two pictures of Eowyn; one facing left, and one facing right. Then I added another layer in the original gimp window that had Eowyn facing right. On that layer, I added Eowyn facing left. I then adjusted them so that they were together and mirrored each other. There was still some checkered background left, so I used the crop tool and cut out the checkered area. Then I added the text "Shieldmaiden" in another layer, and adjusted the color a bit. Then I did another layer, and added a question mark in the King And Queen Font (downloaded off dafont.com) which makes one of those cool litle swirlys. I adjusted the color, and made it on overlay mode. Then I did a > mark in the King And Queen Font, and it made another swirl, and I adjusted the color, and put it on overlay mode. Then I did the letter K in the King And Queen Font and then adjusted it so that the letter itself wasn't showing, just the swirl on the end of it. I put it on overlay, changing the color first. I did the same thing on the fourth swirl, except it was this key in The King And Queen Font: <.
And there you have it! A tutorial (one that hopefully makes sense ;) on how to make that Shieldmaiden blend! :D Of course you could just save it and thus have it rather then going through the steps and making it yourself with small changes :D

PS Earwen, I hope I answered your question :D lol

How do you upload new font onto your computer?
Also, how exactly do you reverse the pictures?
