LoTR Blends

(Note: Almost all of the pictures used in the blends were found HERE)

This morning, I felt this impulse to open Gimp up and make some blends, so I obeyed my instincts and these are the results...





The next one I hurriedly mashed together, and it does seem like a random bowl of Eowyn pictures with a sprinkle of text...





(Note: The next two were not made this morning)







These last two cost me a good forty five minutes to make. First of all, I just barely completed the blend, but then Gimp shut down and I lost it. Shrugging it off (it's happened before), I opened up Gimp again, and re-made it, and then it shut down again, just after I finished re-making the second one. Frustrated by now, I opened it again, and the second after I finished it, instead of tweaking with the curves and colors to make sure I have it right, like I usually do, I quickly saved it, then continued to tweak with it (adding words, adjusting hues and curves).

This is the original blend that took me three tries to make....




And this is the finished product, complete with words (I know! I use the Angelic War and JaneAusten fonts way too much, and I highly stress the "way") and adjusted curves/colors.

Some Blends I Made...

This one I made on Photoshop CS4 (I got a 30 day free trial...Photoshop is amazing, even more awesome then Gimp)




I don't like this one very much, but *shrugs* yeah here it is:




I tampered with it a bit, but I still don't like it...

This one was made on Photoshop too (yeah I don't really like how the Immortal overlaps on Arwen's face)

My favorite is probably the first one. The others aren't so great...but I thought I'd share 'em. :D
(Side Note: Yeah, you probably think I do way too many LoTR blends :D I've done a few Narnia ones, which aren't great, and regular pictures of my family too; but LoTR are the majority...as you can tell :D)

Blends...

Alright so I just wanted to share some blends I did recently using Gimp...

This was an old one of Arwen that I had done previously, but I had removed the words "Arwen Undomiel" and added brushes instead.



And this is one I made of my younger sister and brother...Abby and Peter.



And this is another old one of Arwen that I had done, but I added words and brushes... (the words say: "There was also life. You saw the child; you saw my son!")

And one of Sam that I kinda like...

And one of Grima Wormtongue...I have no clue why I made this one (all I did was add text and adjust the hues of the background picture), I guess I was bored. :D



And one of Galadriel (I know, I know, I do a lot of LoTR blends)...



And another picture in which I just added the Softglow effect twice, and wrote text words.



And I kind of like this one of Legolas that I did...

Gimp!!

Aw, so cool!! I love Gimp!! It's so much better than paint.net (in my opinion).

It's so complicated...I've been reading some tutorials, but just generally fiddling around with it, and these are two basics images I produced of Arwen...

This one has a background of Arwen in a veil, then an overlay layer of her veiled by Aragorn's tomb. I perhaps should have made the overlay layer a bit more darker, but I found it pretty good.

And this one I just LOVE! I adjusted the colors, sharpened it, and then did this photo affect that made the face way whiter and everything just clearer.
