Hi Everybody!
Okay, so has anybody read This Present Darkness?
This Present Darkness is the best book ever!
Hang on, I'm gonna go get it (I'm renting it from the library; I'm begging my mom to buy it, it is SO good!) and read you the back...
*runs upstairs*
Here it is:
Ashton is just a typical small town. But when a skeptical reporter and a prayerful pastor begin to compare notes, they suddenly find themselves fighting a hideous New Age plot to subjugate the townspeople and eventually the entire human race.
Not since The Screwtape Letters has there been a novel with as much insight into spiritual warfare and the necessity of prayer. Fast-moving, riveting reading ranking with the best thrillers on the bookshelf.
It is by Christian author Frank E. Peretti.
I am serious, I highly recommend you read it. It really makes the battle that is going on between demons and angels, Satan and God, evil and good, really real.
The New Age plot is this whole mind-reading thing, putting someone under mental power...mentally controlling them, entering their thoughts, contacting spirits, witches, demons.....
Even I, who takes a lot to scare, am kind of creeped out reading those parts. *shudder*
Oh, and it's not really appropriate for younger children. I'm eleven, and I absolutely love it...but it won't be good reading at all for someone younger, like eight or nine.
Just warning you.
I am serious. It is extremely good.
Okay, anyway...
Hm...what is new with me?
Well...
*thinking hard*
I would really like to have more followers.
Heehee...seriously.
*sigh* Oh well....
I still have this cut that I got from this swimming party I went to with my co-op...it was like five weeks ago, and I still have this mottled cut. It's so annoying. I guess it isn't a cut anymore, but it's still the spot of purple skin...Maybe it is because I picked off the scab....
*giggle*
Hannah is demanding that, as my editor, I cannot even think, talk, or write about Wolfheart. So I guess that subject is forbidden...
Me and my sis, Abby (blog: http://www.readthisblogitsawesome.blogspot.com/), am doing an hour of dancing per day. Well, not dancing, but we make up dances to these songs, and so we do 'bout an hour of that every day...It's really fun!
I am going to go write more of Arwei.
I am past the disgusting battle part...well...sort of. She still has to kill Secritas, the evil king.
God's love to y'all,
Bekah

Wolfheart, Dots, 90 Minutes in Heaven
Hey everyone,
Well, guess what?!? I got an idea for a story. Wolfheart. It's about a girl/werewolf. Okay, that might sound disturbing (the kind of disturbing that will keep you up at night, and that will mar your soul and trouble your thoughts), but it really is not.
I love the name.
Have you ever wondered what Heaven is like? *sigh* I have. What comforts me, though, and encourages my faith, is that I know it's really there. Okay, I have this tendency to be trusting. Some people call me gullible. It might be a fault in some people's eyes, but that's just the way I am. So when I read this book called 90 Minutes in Heaven, I was touched, and comforted, and encouraged. It's about this guy who went to Heaven for ninety minutes, then, from the constant prayers of a stranger who was a pastor, came back to life, and spread his tale around the world.
I think it is so cool! Cool, awesome, touching, inspirational...call it whatever you want to.
I love Dots. The candy. Heehee. I am eating one right now. Flavor? Strawberry. Yummy.
Does anyone reading this have braces? *sigh* I do. At first, before I got them, I was excited, despite the warnings of an acquaintance of mine who had had braces. After the first year, my excitement had withered into tolerance. After the next few months, my tolerance faded to outright impatience to get them off. That's where I am right now. After a few more months, who knows? I may be tearing them off myself...
Jk...?
Heehee.
Snap, I just swallowed my Dot whole. *wince* Luckily, Mum gave me another one, heehee.
I am going to go write some more. Seems like I am always doing that, doesn't it? Mum understands my love for writing, and agrees that free writing is good for me. It keeps my creativity flowing. You see, sometimes writers, especially novices, reach a mental block. I have experienced that with a few of my stories that were doomed for failure. So, if you're a writer, that's why you should either keep a journal or regularly just type, ignoring typos, misspelled words, just keep writing. Don't stop. I do both of those things, and it really helps.
So I'm going to go write....
Right now, in Arwei, the big climax point is going on right now. You might think, Hey, that's strange, the climax should be the easiest part to write. But, you see, it is not for me, because the climax in Arwei is a big battle. And I find battles monotonous. I mean, people kill people.....
Blah blah blah.
Oh well. *determined sigh* I shall go keep on chipping away at the big block of war.
God's love to y'all,
Bekah

I am going to go write Arwei, which is 280 pages long. *sigh* I have realized that Arwei is missing a lot. So as soon as I finish it, I am going to go back and expand every page...Probably blow it up to at the most, 400 pages long.
Heeheeingly yours,

Good Morning
Hello All,
I guess it isn't morning, as it is 11: 25...my stomach is rumbling. 11: 25 in the morning though. So...
Has anyone gone to the website I shared last blog post?
Isn't the game State of Debate just fantastic? It is so great! I love the regulators and the mate's accents! I totally wish I had an accent like theirs...
Okay, there is this other site I would like to share with you...
http://www.20000-names.com/female_native_american_names.htm
There we go. For a long time I couldn't copy and paste it on here...
There are so many names! I use some of the Italian names and Greek names in my story...I am trying to think up a new name for my evil king...his name is Secritas. How many people think that needs to be changed? First his name was Griligax, which is a stupid name. Secritas I like better. Okay, it is not pronounced SECRET-AHS but SEH-CRIH-TAS. Yup.
Some name possibilities are: Thoth, Odin, Vanubus, Salanus, Haemon, Muirius, Marduk, Bethold, or Drikon.
I'm gonna make a poll on the subject...I really am confused and not sure which to pick...or if I should leave the evil king's name the same...
Okay, vote on the poll!
Yeah, yeah...
I am so excited! 'Cause I'm going to the Science Musuem of Minnesota with my best friend! *Scream* I am so excited.
muwahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Enough with the evil cackling it really doesn't fit my character...Actually, the more I reflect on it, it does. I am a bloodthirsty authoress, I have a muse and a conscious (and am thinking about accepting a sub-conscious and an imagination into my soul...as long as they don't chatter as much as Adonia and Renata...).
I am listening to Air 1 over my computer.
I don't know the name to the song....
Want me to describe my desk where my laptop is sitting right now?
Okay.
I take that as a yes.
Oh, I just realized the song. It's There Will Be a Day by Jeremy Camp.
So, I have a wooden desk with metal legs and two wooden shelves supported by metal brackets.
I have a white high-power lamp with Piggy tied to it. Piggy is this bouncy pig and he is so cute! David Copperfield by Charles Dickens sits on my desk, along with a dictionary, assorted DVDs, many pens and a few random pencils, a white board and a marker, the phone (I just finished talking with Hannah), lotion, a bookmark inscribed with the message "The Lord bless thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee." Numbers 6: 24, 25, a small clipboard with pieces of paper blaring my schedule clipped onto it, a green headband that I shoot at my siblings, cords for my computer, Brisingr by Christopher Paolini, a tea bag (eiu...), a blue calculator with red, yellow and white buttons, a pink watch, a shark tooth, three bobby pins, a set of headphones, a colorful drawstring bag from Brighton, a flower erasor, and my computer. A lot...yeah, it's cluttered. On my shelves are a ton of notebooks filled with writing stuff, soooo many schoolbooks...a writing book...a microphone, a three hole puncher, another Piggy except its purple, a microphone, more notebooks, and bags.
Sorry, guys, but I have to go...I'll blog more about my trip to the Science Musuem later!!!!!! (Sorry about the extra exclamation points, but I AM SO EXCITED!)
Love to y'all,
Bekah

No title...
Hello everybody,
No title.
How wonderful.
For once, I do not feel the pressure to live up to my title.
And to all you people reading this stupid post...go jump in a lake.
Yup. I know. I'm being nonsensical, 'cause most of the lakes are frozen up.
So...what you do is quite simple. Crack a hole in the ice, make it bigger, clear the whole lake so you don't have any danger of being drowned (this is optional *evil grin*), then jump in!
Aren't I brilliant?
If anyone has NOT read Harry Potter, read them. You might say, "Oh, I don't have interest in them." But I promise, they are worth it. True, the characters swear occasionally...and there has been one crude remark that I have noticed...but overall, they are surprisingly clean. And, personally, a lone crude remark and swear words don't bother me. Of course, I would never insert real swear words into my writing (that would ruin it), and I try to keep out crude remarks. If my character itchs to be positively evil (which my evil king usually does) I give them a slap on the face...and try to resist from writing the clever remark.
Also...I'm having a bit of trouble with Crael...one of my characters. Originally, he was supposed to marry Arwei in the end (a happy-ever-after kind of ending.)...but then Arjun Blivfal marched in and positively stole the stage. Now, I realize that everything fits. Crael can betray LaslanzĂ to Secritas, and kill Arjun. But...I desperately want to kill Arjun...the kind of urge that I have with every single character that comes into my writing...but Arjun has to kill Secritas...and Crael...so maybe Arjun kills Secritas, then dies killing Crael. So both die. *evil cackle* Wonderful, bloody ending. But books in which the lover dies nobly, I want to hurl across the room (which I usually end up doing). And I, personally, don't want my readers to hurl my book across the room. So I guess I'm going to have to refrain from killing Arjun.
*sigh* Oh, how I do want to kill Arjun.
*brighten* But I do get to kill Driela, the former Queen! She is captured by Secritas, tortured unmercifully (that was sooooo fun to write!), then sent to her cell (stuffed with lice and rats...that was fun to write too!), because Secritas invented this potion called the Truth Potion (I know...original name.) that will make you spill your secrets, so she will have to tell him the counter-spells to break the Deep Laemle (Deep Magic) surrounding LaslanzĂ. So she strangles herself in the cell. Isn't that wonderful? It took me most of one night to smooth it over (I lay awake in my bed). I'm SO excited for when I get to describe her strangling herself. It'll be good, won't it?
*sigh* Can you tell I'm a blood-thirsty author?
Lol
Well...I'm going to go write more of Arwei.
So see you peeps later, k?
Love to you all,
